I had to learn to be patient with guests and volunteers, as well as be forceful or demanding when certain guests were unwilling to bath. All guests are required to shower upon entering Interfaith Sanctuary, if they wish to stay, including myself. I also learned that people can be rather disrespectful when told they need to shower if they wish our hospitality, otherwise, they were sent to eitherCity of Light's for women, or River of Life for men.

Angel of Hope is a collection of the seriously underprivileged in the surrounding towns and villages brought together. The inmates solely rely on donations in cash or in kind from people and organization who feel like helping. Other people should volunteer at Angel of Hope because you will be helping a worthy cause of helping children without any hope to realize their ambitions in life. They have a football team that keeps them active and aims at getting some footballers out of this team, in addition to other activities. See a picture af the team abut to play a match

I learned how much helping others gave me a sense of satisfaction, self worth, and happiness. Knowing that the funds I helped collect were going to people in need opened up a side of me that I didn't know was there. I wanted to do more. I participated in other charities through my workplace. Relay for life, the heart walk, and peer sponsored fundraisers that benefited co-workers in need. I look forward to participating in other fundraising opportunities.

A good friend was telling me how exciting it would be for me to volunteer in helping individuals that are less fortunate to care for themselves I became a mentor mental health aide for teenagers that are dealing with depression and I do outreach giving out information to those that are interested in helping themselves their love one and Friends to recover from anything that they may have a problem with addition or mental illnesses

I got to experience community at its best.....people driven to help our nieghbors recover and helping take care of our responders who were working around the clock.I was in awe of the magnitude of love with donations and everyone taking a piece of ourselves to give to the broken

Zoo Knoxville is a beautiful, easily accessible mid-size East Tennessee zoo. Volunteers Share information about the zoo’s animals, habitats and conservation programs with zoo guests; assist zoo staff with educational programs both on and off zoo grounds; help staff with events like BPP! at the zoo and zoo camp; and work behind the scenes to help keepers and staff with daily operations. The volunteers and staff at Zoo Knoxville are like a big family, caring for each other as well as the animals. Activities and monthly meetings provide education and social fun.
