Are You Making These Mistakes On Your Resume? Sometimes, even when we feel we are putting our best foot forward, simple errors can derail our carefully laid plans! Knowing these Resume Do’s and Don’ts can help you be sure your resume is in great shape!
The #1 piece of advice when it comes to resumes, is to remember that your resume is likely going to be scanned by an Applicant Tracking System or ATS. This software uses information from the job description to find the best matches for the position. When preparing a resume for an ATS, these tips can help you soar to the top of the pile!
Do’s
- Write concise sentences. Resumes with long paragraphs are often dealbreakers.
- Make your resume one page long, or two at max.
- Keep your resume ready for an ATS by submitting a plain-text resume. - The machine will skip over resumes with unreadable formatting.
- Adding job-relevant keywords that an ATS would scan for.
- Include contact details in the body of the resume rather than the header or footer. This ensures that the ATS can process this text.
- Focus on your skills and achievements more than responsibilities.
- Use action words in your achievements.
- Include hobbies and interests that are relevant to the job. If you happen to know the recruiter or follow them on social media, you can also add interests that you two have in common.
- ALWAYS Proofread your resume before sending it out.
Don’ts
- Don’t lie on your resume. If a recruiter or hiring manager catches even one lie on a candidate’s resume, they will lose out on the job.
- Don’t add all your previous job roles here, including those that are irrelevant or older than 10 years.
- Don’t lie about your education, such as your school, grades, or diploma.
- Don’t write in a passive voice.
- Don’t apply to jobs you don’t meet most of the qualifications for.
- Don’t stuff your resume with cliches.

PART #1 WHAT IT MEANS A goal is more than just a dream —something you wish would happen. Real goals involve planning, flexibility, and good, old-fashioned hard work. Goals can be short-range (taking days or weeks to accomplish), medium-range (months), and long-range (a year or more). Long-range goals can be reached through a series of intermediate goals. #jobsearch #advice #motivation

Times have changed right before your eyes, and people really believe they know how, and where to apply for jobs online. Don't feel bad, it's quite different.
TIMES HAVE CHANGED, WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.
Now, if you want to achieve best you have to know beforehand, what type of job you're looking for?
Knowing where to locate the demanding jobs gives you the edge. Here's a simple TIP #1. Streamine these 5 categories and you're on your way.

#1 experience then and eagerness to learn to more

Sounds like you were a great employee!! As long as you have documentation and your doctor kept records of your postponement, I would report to your state employment, find a lawyer, who fights for unjust termination. You don’t want your job back with this organization!!!! But you might get them for lost wages, insurance, vacation time. Also #1–check if you are in an “at will” state!! Not a lot you can do then.

Have you ever been denied a job after a background check?
It's a concern anyone with a record may struggle with during the hiring process. Your resume gets noticed, you ace interview #1, and interview #2, you get the job offer... and on the last page there's the background check form.
All of that time and effort pales in the face of that moment. It can feel like being shot at the finish line. That's the fear.
However. Sometimes, after an explanation of the situation, it's water under the bridge, and you land the job. Other times, it's never mentioned, and the job is yours. You wonder how far back the check goes, perhaps they just missed it, or didn't file it? And yet, there are times where a candidate is turned away.
If anyone has any advice, or experience with this situation, please feel free to share here.

So something I havent seen talked about but to me has been critical...
Physical aptitude.
WH workers are classified as "Industrial athletes" and especially if you're in the food industry that is more than true
Working in a WH is no joke so DONT take it lightly
In an operation I worked in 70% of all injures were "soft tissue" meaning sprains or strains.
AND
80% of THOSE happened in the hour and a half after Lunch
The root cause was that Lunch was held in a warm room, the WH was refrigerated at less 32 degress
So understand that WH work isn't easy and that you are no different than an athlete.
Consider these things
To stay safe and healthy while doing physically demanding work,
Exercise and eat a balanced diet just be healthy
Stretch and warm up before starting work to prevent muscle strain and injury Probably the most important thing you can do.
Use the correct technique to lift things - Proper lifting technique will prevent injury
Wear appropriate safety gear such as protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection - DOnt "save money " by buying poor shoes ...
Take regular breaks to rest and recover from physical activity
Drink enough water to stay hydrated Teh second most important it becomes #1 in the summer
Seek medical attention immediately if an injury occurs.
Think about these things guys - It will make teh experience more effective and longlasting for you! Go get after it #advice #wordsofadvice #jobsearch
