She currently works in retail but she wants to get into something different like administrative work or maybe human services?

I went on a job interview for a bank and think it went very well and even though the position is not specifically dealing or handling of money Im concerned that the 4 thgs tht are in collection on my credit report will have an adverse reflection on whether im extended an offer. Does anyone know whether the collections on ur credit report will have a negative outcome of being employed at a bank even if the job is in human resources or do they take into account what is on your credit report?

I'm so excited about my new gig! I was hired yesterday (Monday) to ghostwrite a biography! Between now and Friday, I have to get a fee schedule written, for the actual writing the book, what information the client will give me (events, and such), and any addendum's not pertaining to the actual manuscript. I have a question, though, and I'm hoping any of you intelligent Jobcasers can help me. When I talked to the client's rep, there was an indication that he expects me to publish the book. I've never done that, and don't know where to turn. The book is supposed to be about 300 pages, in paperback, and in limited edition. What constitutes a limited edition? How can I self-publish? How much will it cost? I don't know how many books they want, yet. My guess is that the client wants the books to be passed around within his company. I don't think he wants to sell them to the general public, from the indications. I could be wrong! This is my first gig, as a paid writer. Yay!

So I'm currently using a cane to walk because of some weakness I have in the left side of my body and I've been on a bunch of job interviews, that seem to go really well according to what I think, but then I don't get the job. Could it be because of the cane? Are employers discriminating me? Also, they don't ask anything about the cane-which I know they're not allowed to do but maybe if they did ask I could explain the reason and they'd give me a chance. Its so frustrating. Also, should I inform people that I use a cane before the interview, while on the phone? That way when I med them they're not surprised?

I found out why I did not get the call. An administrator wanted to hire me and she told me I was flagged. Now I checked my HR file and and there was nothing in it. I called hr and the person asked about me resigning from a position two years ago I said I went through the appropriate channel and the resignation letter and acceptance from my administrator is in my file .She asked did I fal to anyone about resigning I said yes my immediate admin and another admin. I have her the names. She put me on hold ten minutes and then said things need to be investigated. How can the stop Me from getting a job but not know why I'm flagged. I wrote the superintendent about this matter and how I thought it was discrimination and unlawful hiring practice . I also called my union for help in this matter. How can they do this to me without reason and paper in my file.? What does this mean? What should I do? Is his lawful?

I requested off Christmas week in the first week of August and on the 15th I went into work and there was a note stating I couldn't have off because somebody else has it and I said I'm sorry but it's already paid for and he screamed find another job! I asked him did he mean I was fired and he walked away from me. So I tucked my tail between my legs and turned in my keys and went to my truck to cry. Now I get a call from my district manager saying my boss only said I wouldn't have a job in December but at that point I wasn't fired and I walked out so their saying I quit. Soooo my queston is would you say I quit or was under the assumption (that he never explained) I was fired ? Mind you I've been there almost 4 years and made management in less then a year of being there...no write ups nothing...Why would I quit with 2 kids and no back up job??!!
