The County of Los Angeles is very political with deceptive individuals, even in management, and in some areas, racist. Know an individual very well on and off the job before trusting them. Always keep personal and family affairs private. Doing a job well won't guarantee your position, nor having good performance ratings, nor allow transfer, or promotion.
