"You legitimately have my dream job!" "Oh, that must be so fun!"
Thank you, it certainly can be. But my business didn't start itself and it takes a lot of perseverance to keep a solopreneurship afloat. I love art and design-- I love it so much I have a Masters in Fine Art along with my various certifications in evebt planning. But it takes more than just the ability to arrange things in an attractive way to be successful. There's website building, marketing, SEO, advertising, staffing, organizational skills, budgeting ability, contracts, proposal making, content creation, bookkeeping, accounting, and oh so much more that's involved. Most days I am busy organizing inventory, calming down anxious clients, preparing proposals, and teaching myself new skills. I don't believe in getting a small amount of success and growing stagnant. The best event designers and decorators have a constantly growing inventory, and need to stay on top of new trends and skills to be a contender. Add to the necessary jobs; my physical and mental limitations and my ultimate goal of a leading design company may be only a dream. But the thing that may allow it to become true is my dedication and hardwork. Those backdrops aren't going to put themselves up and down and haul themselves to my car!

10 years professional experience in the 3D art field as well as Event/ Wedding planning

My experience at the American Bar Association was not a good one. They work you extremely hard and the pay was not comparable to my skill level or work done. The people that I worked with were very unprofessional and they used all sorts of foul language throughout business meetings which I thought was very inappropriate.

Am looking for company that can use my expertise in the food industries, hosting events that can show my creativity as a business person. Am a person willing to learn anything that have to do with a company that's willing to hire me as an entry level.

I have over 20 years of customer service/sales experience giving attention to details and focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Within event planning I have experience in the areas of: Birthdays, Concerts, Book Signings, Church Events, Engagements, Weddings, Baby Showers, Public and Private events.

Do I need a hospitality degree or hotel experience to get into an event planning career? I’m going to school part-time now for a business degree but I’d like to break into the event planning industry. I applied already applied for several server and hotel houseman positions but none of those companies have responded or shown any interest. Do you think it’s because I lack the experience?

Hey guys!
I'm looking for an energetic and high pace job. Have been able to make lifetime customers and great job reviews. I enjoy planning out events and helping people grow. Where I work I invest my worth time and ideas into everything to help smooth out and help grow the company.
Warm regards,
Christmas Jacobs
