I felt proud to work for #Go Bananas Watersports when...

Go Bananas was the best job I've had. John and Joy are great managers and are very understanding when it comes to the needs of their employees.

I felt proud to work for #Go!Retailgroup when...

Everyone worked together as a team. Although it was only seasonal it felt really amazing to know that we had to push hard to get the merchandise out in time for Christmas

More choices when I reached 30 years of service because my body wasn't liking the demands of the job. I would of loved to continue at UPS but there was nowhere to go . Driving big rigs had a 5 to 7 year waiting list. Always felt UPS could of made work load exceptions for their senior drivers. #go brown

Hello everyone, I hope and pray you are having a great start to your New Year.

Food for thought for life: We all know this is a tough world we live in today. In this life you live, you cant always win. But, dont give up. You have to believe that something different and something wonderful can happen.

Make a choice, just decide what its going be, who your going to be and how you gonna do it. You got to be ready at any moment to be able to sacrifice for what you are, for what you will become. You will win if you dont quite.

There will never be an point in your life, where its the right time to do a great thing. If your waiting for that perfect perfect moment, that perfect timing is not going to happen.

But, you know what you have to do?

You have to create the perfect time and the perfect opportunity and the perfect situation. You will win if you just keep trying. Dont give up, I believe in you and now its time you believe in you.

Something I wrote on LinkedIn. Some folks on FB might find it useful. Happy new Years!

As we come to end of yet another year, I have heard from many of you on LinkedIn. Thank you!

I am surprised at how many folks I have spoken with that are unhappy in their current roles and looking to move.

As we go into a New Year, I would like to offer some valuable lessons, that I have learned over my career. I am extremely fortunate and blessed to have amazing leaders and mentors through out my career.

FYI, I have been there. Multiple times.

1- You’re more valuable than you know! Get the silly voices out of your head. Focus on your strengths. We ALL have weaknesses, recognize them, but don’t dwell on them. Your strength is what you bring to the table. Use it shamelessly.

2- Have your personal values clearly defined. Make sure the company values are aligned with yours. If you’re willing to sacrifice one of your core values, then the others hold no weight.

3- stop chasing a paycheck. If you’re stuck in a “paycheck 2 paycheck” lifestyle, correct it. It might take a while but get your emergency (I won’t be held hostage) funds together. Discipline.

4- The restaurant business(as are many jobs) a tough business. It takes many of us away from Loved ones. Make time for the people you love. Find time away from work.

Happy New Years! #business #mentoring #go #lesson
