Micheal, your best bet is to engage with a job recruiter directly. They should be anle to allocate you in the right job, help with adjusting your resume if necessary. However, in my opinion I think our resume should follow the KISS method. Keeping it simple and to the point makes the reader more engaged. At the end, always keep in mind you are in control. You are selling/promoting/offering your skills amd talent and noone can take that await from you no matter what conditions we are in.

I have worked in food and beverage, medical, warehouse and security. . My current issue is I really am interested in a driving job at the moment. Preferably something dayshift, where I can pick my truck/vehicle up at the start of my shift and be on the road for majority of the day without having to return to the restaurant or the store to retrieve my next order. My issue I am running into is I don't have any driving experience. How am I supposed to get experience if no one will hire me without experience?? If you have recently lost your job, seeking unemployment benefits can be a helpful way to support yourself and your family while you search for new employment opportunities. Here are some steps you can take to seek unemployment benefits:
Check your eligibility: Each state has its own eligibility requirements for unemployment benefits. Visit your state's Department of Labor website to learn about eligibility requirements, application processes, and benefit amounts.
File your claim: Once you have determined your eligibility, you can file your claim for unemployment benefits. Be sure to provide accurate and complete information to avoid delays or complications in the process.
Attend any required appointments: Depending on your state's requirements, you may be required to attend appointments or participate in job search programs as a condition of receiving benefits. Attend all required appointments and follow any instructions given to you by your state's unemployment office.
Keep track of your job search: While you are receiving unemployment benefits, you will be required to actively search for new employment opportunities. Keep track of your job search activities, including applications submitted, interviews attended, and any other efforts you make to find new work.
Remember that unemployment benefits are a temporary support system to help you get back on your feet. It's important to use the time and resources provided by unemployment benefits to actively seek new employment opportunities, improve your skills and qualifications, and prepare yourself for the next stage of your career.
While it can be challenging to be out of work and reliant on unemployment benefits, try to stay positive and focused on your goals. Use this time to explore new career opportunities, network with professionals in your field, and gain new skills and experiences that can make you a more competitive candidate for future job openings.
Getting back into the workforce after using unemployment benefits can be a positive step forward in your career. You may have gained new skills, experiences, or perspectives during your time out of work that can make you a stronger candidate for new employment opportunities. Keep an open mind and stay committed to your goals, and you will be on your way to a successful and fulfilling career. #motivation #unemployment #help #lostjob #laidoff

On my background check, they weren't able to verify I started a company prior. I started a handyman business for 2 years and they asked for my w-2s which I didn't have. I was going to school during that time and took on jobs here and there. Clients didn't request a 1099 and most were paid in cash. Basically, what do you think will happen with my job offer at this new job?

Do you have a company registered in your name? I have an LLC & though I've never made enough money to claim on taxes, anyone could find the record of my company. If you didn't go through the paperwork that a real company requires, there's no way it could be tracked. So, if that's the case, I would never mention it. If you DID do the paperwork, the business plan, etc., & if your company WAS actually registered, you or they SHOULD be able to find it whether you had W2 s or not.

Create a letter for the previous clients whom you provided services for which they can print, sign and date validating that you did in fact perform the contract work.
The turnaround time is much faster if you can do this through Docusign to receive your supporting documents.
It’s important to add the range of dates you provided this contract work. Contact your previous clients first to ensure you have their approval. Also, ask your prior clients if you can add their contact information such as a phone number or email on this letter. This help with your credibility in case your new employer/HR decides the need to double check.
Hope this helps in any that I can contribute and bring value. Best of luck!
