I am also a nurse who has been working remotely for over ten years. Looking at your profile and job skills, I recommend utilization review, prior authorization, or case management positions. Remote work for these positions is high in insurance companies such as UHG/UHC/Optum, Centene, Cigna, BCBS, Humana, and Anthem. Most of these companies offer national remote positions or want you to have a license in that state. For you, FL is a compact license, a great attribute to have on your resume. I would recommend going to their career sites and looking for open positions. As openings occur, I currently work (remotely) contracts in Utilization and HEDIS.

I’ve been recently unemployed, I’ve been searching for a job, and been interviewed a few times but have not received any job offers. I started to question myself as to what I’m doing or saying wrong in these interviews. I have tattoos, almost a full sleeve on my right arm and a half sleeve on my left arm. Do you think this might be the reason? And should I wear a long sleeved blouse on my next interview? #jobsearch #interview #advice #nurse

Reality Check! Tattoos are holy now.......Seriously, be professional and ask the interviewer if they will be a distraction in his/her work culture.

Yes, you should cover up your tatoos when you go on interviews. Some people get the wrong impression when they see tatoos on a person. If you get the job, then you can show them off!
