Ergonomics

Ergonomics in the workplace is important to keep workers safe and healthy. Workplace safety increases employee morale and productivity. I have personally worked for a company that attempted to achieve a Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) certification which is a goal to go above and beyond OSHA regulations and creates a safety culture. Some best practices that were implemented were “Be Your Brothers Keeper” and use “Mechanical Assistance” to reduce injuries. Here are seven processes that are implemented to protect workers. These are also great to mention an in interview whether your are applying for a management or entry level position. I can’t stress the importance of demonstrating your knowledge about safety during an interview. Hiring managers are more then likely to consider offering you the position when you have extensive experience and training in safety.

Provide Management Support - A strong commitment by management is critical to the overall success of an ergonomic process. Management should define clear goals and objectives for the ergonomic process, discuss them with their workers, assign responsibilities to designated staff members, and communicate clearly with the workforce.

Involve Workers - A participatory ergonomic approach, where workers are directly involved in worksite assessments, solution development and implementation is the essence of a successful ergonomic process. Workers can: Identify and provide important information about hazards in their workplaces. Assist in the ergonomic process by voicing their concerns and suggestions for reducing exposure to risk factors and by evaluating the changes made as a result of an ergonomic assessment.

Provide Training - Training is an important element in the ergonomic process. It ensures that workers are aware of ergonomics and its benefits, become informed about ergonomics related concerns in the workplace, and understand the importance of reporting early symptoms of MSDs.

Identify Problems - An important step in the ergonomic process is to identify and assess ergonomic problems in the workplace before they result in MSDs.

Encourage Early Reporting of MSD Symptoms - Early reporting can accelerate the job assessment and improvement process, helping to prevent or reduce the progression of symptoms, the development of serious injuries, and subsequent lost-time claims.

Implement Solutions to Control Hazards - There are many possible solutions that can be implemented to reduce, control or eliminate workplace MSDs.

Evaluate Progress - Established evaluation and corrective action procedures are required to periodically assess the effectiveness of the ergonomic process and to ensure its continuous improvement and long-term success. As an ergonomic process is first developing, assessments should include determining whether goals set for the ergonomic process have been met and determining the success of the implemented ergonomic solutions.

💙 ✨ HOW TO USE THE JOBCASE JOB SEARCH TOOL TO FIND A JOB IN A RESTAURANT!! ✨ 💙 🖥 📲

I see a ton of posts from Jobcasers asking for help finding work at a Restaurant near them! 👨‍🍳 🤵 I’d love to share some step by step instructions on how to use the “Jobs” tab on the Jobcase App to find open positions in Hospitality wherever you live! 🇺🇸 ❤️ 🏡 💙

Start by filling out your Jobcase Profile as throughly as you can with your work history, and consider what positions you’d like to work in next. 📄 Then find the Jobcase Job Search Tab, either on the top of your browser page, or the bottom of the App on your phone! 📲💻

Use your previous job titles as the key words in your Job Search, and add your zip code and mileage range as well. 📍That will show you what jobs list those key words in their postings, and where they are located. If you’re looking for Work you can do from home, check the box that says “Remote Work Only”! 🛋 🗺 🧭 💙

Then take the Resume your profile generates for you, and apply to the job listings that look like the best fit, for your past experience and future plans for your career. 🛣 The best way to apply is to explore job postings and apply through those, or go to the website of the Restaurant directly, and submit your information on there. 👩🏻‍💻 If it is a large national chain, like Applebees for example, you could go to their Official Careers Page, find the location where you want to apply with your zip code, and apply to the Restaurant where you would like to work. 🧑🏽‍🍳 🖥 🤵🏼‍♂️

Make sure to always research any job posting, and use context clues to make sure it is a legitimate position and not a scam looking to steal personal information. ‼️💻 The Job Posting should be well edited, with an email address related to the company you’re applying, and they should only ask for personal banking or social security information AFTER you are sure you are employed by a real company, and you have started the job. 🪪🗃 You should never have to buy equipment, provide your credit card or Venmo information, cash any checks for them, or interview in a nonofficial capacity, like over the Telegram App. 💳 Please be careful of scammers and stay vigilant! 💜

DO YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW TO FIND A RESTAURANT JOB NEAR YOU?!? PLEASE DON’T HESITATE TO ASK DOWN BELOW! HAVE YOU USED THE JOBCASE SEARCH TOOL TO APPLY TO JOBS ALREADY?? HOW DID IT GO??

✨ 👀 MAKE SURE YOU CHECK OUT THE JOBCASE RESTAURANT AND HOSPITALITY SUPERSTARS GROUP! ITS A GATHERING OF JOBCASERS AND EXPERTS WHO SHARE ADVICE ON WORKING IN HOSPITALITY, INSIDER TIPS, JOB LISTINGS, AND MORE! Enjoys Helping People from all walks of life. Remote Work Please.

Look at it this way... Robots will replace us as workers. The reason for this is.. you don't have to pay them, they do not call out, run late or get ill. And this is what the corporations are looking at. Money, money, money.
