There's a big debate about whether it's better to try and keep schools open so that parents who have to go into work can still earn and support their families. But of course, the other side says it's too dangerous. What do you think? #losangeles #coronavirus #stayathome #schools

Of course they need stay open. Kids need the interaction and we need to go back to a NORMAL LIFE. This virus is a weapon, we DO KNOW. In 1918 when there was a ACTUAL pandemic , the world didn't stop, no lockdowns and that was a serious pandemic. Parents need to go to work and we all need a regular life . There is no reason for this ridiculous lockdown .

Gov. Inslee announced a stay-at-home order, enforceable by law.

What it means:

  • Non-essential outings aren't allowed
  • Essential outings are: grocery shopping, doctors appointments, and going to essential businesses
  • All public and private social, spiritual and recreational gatherings are banned
  • All non-essential businesses are closed
  • You can go outside to take a walk
  • Restaurants can continue doing takeout & delivery

For the past 3 years I have been a stay at home parent with my two sons while my wife works. Now that both boys are in preschool / daycare I am trying to get back into the workforce (key word: trying). I have had a few phone interviews and a few in-person interviews and in all of them when I mention the past 3 years I get questions from the interviewers that suggests that I only used my kids as an excuse to not work because there are plenty of other options to care for them. And this is both men and women who have had this attitude. Is there a good way I can explain this or should I just not talk about it at all?
