I’m 55 now & that was the absolute worst job ever had !! Horrible management.... getting threatened everyday from co workers .... rude kitchen staff ...... had to go to work ready to fight !! Place is run soooo horrible!!!

My most stressful day at Steak N Shake would have to be when I was working a 12 hour shift, we were completely booked and had people waiting to be seated. I was the only experienced server there at the time ( I was actually training) and the general manager decided that’s it was a good time to quit. He walked out and never returned, he gave no one a notice, just left!

I loved working at Steak N Shake for the simple reason of meeting so many different people. Getting to know their stories and the diversity of my customers.

Coming into work almost every night was always enjoyable rather than dredding.. I loved working with everyone and had a great time serving food to others and being able to talk and have conversations with customers. I really did enjoy my expiriance and i know anyone looking to work there will have just as good as a time I did.
