I wanted to share that I recently got a promotion at work! I was a front desk worker and got promoted to Front Desk Assistant Supervisor this past week. I did it by working really hard and asking my boss for regular feedback on what I can do to improve and what I'm doing well. When the position opened up, I was the FIRST person he went to to offer the role. I'm very happy and excited for this new chapter.
If I can do it, you can do it!!! #motivation #manager #hospitality

Wanted to encourage each one of you not to give up to continue to move forward wait on God .
don't go and do anything by yourself anymore maybe the doors are closing on you because that's not where god wants you to be at .
have you thought about it ?????
stay always prayed up thank you for your prayers Godbless each one of you

I was given an opportunity with this this company and my criminal history was a deal breaker. When I showed the next employer my certifications they hired me on the spot. I have a wise variety of job experience, and humongous work Hussle most don't have.

I accepted a job at Best Vision Media it's a publishing magazine company. My job is to get ads to put into the magazine and I will get a 80% of my commission and this is the first job that I ever work at where I would get paid on commission what do you say?

I got a job as a credit counselor
:)

I am so happy to announce I have accepted a full time permanent position with Automotive Credit Corporation's legal dept Michael Andrews & Associates as a Bankruptcy Specialist. I have been there since mid October on a temp to perm assignment. This is an awesome place to work. They have so many activities and benefits for their employees. One day they announced a scavenger hunt in the middle of the work day just out of the blue and my team won. The prize was a $10 US Connect card for the vending machine. I was a tempt then. Once hired I receved a gift bag with all sorts of goodies, a logo embossed throw blanket and a very nice logo jacket. I even have a mini spinner under my desk so I can peddle while I work. There have been multiple events. Just Thursday we participated in Habitat For Humanity and painted a house. This is the first place I have been where "team" is not just a word in the mission statement I really feel part of a family. My 3rd day my car broke down and my supervisor was willing to take me home and it's 30 miles in a different direction than where she lives. The salary is also a great incentive, I received a bonus my 1st paycheck. No age discrimination obviously lol there are people of all ages, races, and genders in positions of leadership. So excited to be part of this team and looking forward to this new journey! #Over50Professionals #StayMotivated #GreatPlaceToWork #5YearJobCaser #Happy5thJobCaseAnniversary

Things don't always go as planned especially when it's a big day! My car started overheating the night before the interview. No way was i going to cancel an #interview as those are few and far between for me. I checked google maps and saw the location is 9 miles away. Luckily for me i still had a bicycle in the garage. I brought a few bottles of water and my interview clothes in a bag so they would not get sweaty. I found a bathroom a couple miles away to change in. The exercise there put me in a good mood, i got to think about what i was going to say and had a good interview. I even shared the experience with the interviewer and i think it showed him i'm not someone to give up when things don't go my way. We talked about mechanics and it lightened up the mood. They called me back for training this time i took the car. I was thinking the bike ride was actually a good thing, i might just ride my bicycle there a couple times a week. #jobsearch #stress #training #transportation #motivation #advice #inspiration #application

I filled out 40 applications and only had 1 call back for an interview. The guy interviewing me asked if i ever had a younger supervisor? I told him regardless of age, i'm sure the supervisor is qualified and did a good job to be put into that position and i would respect whoever is in charge. He then said this is how "we" do things here. I waited for him to finish and asked him a question. Can "we" train online? By saying "we" after he said it made me seem like part of the team. Like in sales assume the sale with confidence but not overly done. We had orientation yesterday so happy to be back working! #jobsearch #interview #application

I use to read conversations that said keep the faith and then they would talk about them getting a job. I use to think that would never happen for me, but somewhat still kept being hopeful. Well it finally paid off. I am happy to say that I am finally going back to work after almost 7 months. I am going to be doing what I use to do and loved and the location is in Indiana and I live in Indiana! Tax break finally!! I just want to encourage everyone who is still searching, don't give up and keep that faith that one day it will pay off. Thank you Jesus!

So i saw this ad for a caretaker on a large property. They were offering free room and board and a salary. Having a mortgage it did not make sense for me to live on site. I wrote a customized email to them explaining what I could do to enhance their property and get more production. Not even 15 minutes from my email being sent the owner called me and picked my brain some more. I met him the next day and picked up some extra hours per week on the property and was able to make some bulk sales with him. They say doing what you love it's not really working. I'd suggest to personalize your emails and phone calls and hone in on what you really like to do. Because the person on the other end of that response will be much more excited to hear from you. #Resume #jobsearch #tips
