To me, you have to put your time in, prove you can do the next step they may offer, never let it go to your head if you become a leader of anything, I would never ask someone to do something that I haven't done or can't do, maybe learn it together to help strengthen your team and let them know that you are not afraid to be right there by their side. Success is not trying to be better than someone else, but listen and work together.
