No matter where you work - at an Office, Restaurant, Park, Hospital, and obviously, at Home - you or your coworkers probably have your own #1 preferred crutch, to treat yourselves with, throughout the workday! 🍫🍿🥤🍱 🥪 🍬

There are enough cliche jokes out there about work and coffee as an essential pair, to bore us for a lifetime! 😮‍💨 ☕️ 😆 That doesn’t mean folks don’t still guzzle it down by the gallon to make it through the workday! As a society we are most likely addicted to caffeine more than ever before, in all of human history! 🤤 ☕️ 🫖

This is going to sound crazy, but I don’t ever consume caffeinated things, and haven’t for years. I did when I was younger, but the older I get, the less I like how caffeine makes me feel, and affects my sleep patterns. So I don’t personally drink caffeinated coffee - even decaf is too strong for me! I miss the flavor of coffee soooo much! I even had a coffee flavored greek yogurt this morning, as a dupe for a latte! And it’s one of my favorite Ice Cream Flavors!! 🥄 🍨 ✨🍦✨ ☕️ 🥄

Working in a restaurant definitely has some upsides, and nonstop access to a 🥤 free soda fountain or soda gun, 🥤can sometimes be one of them. Since I don’t drink coffee, my work drink of choice was usually Club Soda with a Splash of Lemonade, in the days before flavored sparkling water was all the rage! Now I’m usually drinking a Spindrift Sparking Water or more budget friendly sparkling water, and plain water when I’m working at the park. ☀️ 🍓 🫗 🍋 🥤 🫐

In my own experience, it seems like most Restaurant Workers wouldn’t go an hour without a caffeinated beverage to get them through the shift, empty energy drink cans can be found all over the Front AND Back of the House!! 😅😂

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO LEAN ON TO GET THROUGH WORK?? ANY SNACKS OR BEVERAGES THAT HELP YOU MAKE IT TO THE END OF A SHIFT?? WHAT ABOUT OTHER TREATS?? ✨ ☕️ 🥜 🍇 🍭 🥯 🍌 🧁 🍩 🥗 🍟 ✨

So, back in 2018 I was hired at a company in Massage, because they saw me as a good fit. It was the perfect location, because I lived only 5 minutes away from the place. Well, I happened to see someone there that I knew and worked with at another company 2 years prior in 2016. Anyway, the person had just gotten hired at this place, and soon after they were no longer there, along with a bunch of other Therapists that had just started. I thought maybe they had just up and quit. About a week later the owner told me that I wouldn't need to come back, and terminated my employment, and said that the GM agreed with this decision. Later, I found out that that's what happened to the other Therapists. Since then I had been hired by 2 other companies, and doing well. Fast forward in time, I received quite a few emails offers this year from the general manager just saying that they feel I would be a great fit. I thought.. Really? Anyway, below is the email, and part of the e-mail with B.S lies. I won't put the names of the people. Can anyone else see the B.S in this?

Hello, my name is (Blank) and I am the General Manager of (Company's name) Massage in SLPark. After looking at your resume, I wanted to take a moment of your time to tell you about us. I happen to be a massage therapist and am proud of the culture we have created here. We currently have 16 Mt’s on staff ranging in experience and modalities. Our owners’ mission is to be the best employer in the state. My job comes down to safety and trust. My team’s safety is my #1 concern. Unfortunately, it is common to have been burned by other studios and are looking for a home to do the work we want to do. There is no drama here and no ill will. The team here helps build each other up not tear each other down. I have come to call this place my Mt sanctuary. I feel most places do not take the time to understand their team. Here we take the time, and we invest in our people. If you have ever thought “I would leave this place if I could find a home” we are the place you are looking for. I hope you have a wonderful day and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your time, (General Manager's Name)

Be a part of something Special!! We are one of (Company's Name) Massage's most successful new studios, open now for a year.

Here is our story: Following a closure due to COVID-19, our studio reopened in June 2020. We are searching for Therapists committed to changing lives.

What's wrong with this picture?

I laughed so hard, I was almost in tears. I responded saying...

Hello, (General Manager's Name)

Long Time. I am really surprised that you are reaching out to me about working at(Company's name). I don't know if you remember me, but I worked at this location years ago back in 2018, and you all made a unanimous decision to terminate my employment. Thank you for your offer, but no thank you. I'm going to decline your offer at this time, I'm not interested. I've moved on to bigger and better things. Have a Blessed and wonderful weekend.

P.S Tell (Owner) I said hello.

Best Regards,

Latrice

They never responded back. LOL.

I'm telling you the truth..(Words of Encouragement.)

On the playing field of life you will encounter many different types of oppositions.

Some may cause you to...

No. #1. Bunt the ball so-to-speak. No. #2. Hit a foul ball, are you kidding me? No. #3. Miss the ball completely, hmm, that's strange! No. #4. Even strikeout, to say the least. Now, that's strange.

Whatever you do, don't lose your passion for the game of life. Stay alert, and well informed. Don't ever give-up by "sitting on the beach of life."

Take your best swing for that homerun in life, so, everything else can fall-in-place for you.

I Believe You Can...!

I'm telling you the truth...

Do you want that job? Are you preparing your resume? Can you pass the test (Your interview)? Sometimes, you have to change your friendships.

There are 5 - Friendships To Avoid (At-All-Cost) when you want to succeed in life.

Number #1. Skepticism

SKEPTICISM is a developed art and characteristic which subscribe to doubting and/or creating mental blocks, that discredits your favorable beliefs and actions to achieve your special goals.

Please, don't get caught in the spider's web of thinking and friends with skepticism. You won't win.

Listen, take this advice to heart, then everything else will fall-in-place for you. Can you do this?

I Believe You Can...!.

Are you tired of getting no response after interview/applying? Most companies after interview will not contact you if you are not the direction they are going. It is best that you check yourself rather than waiting for them to contact you. It shows initiative & determination! If you don't get a response back within the first week of applying it is most likely the company has gone in another direction, but to get your foot in the door & be noticed two to three days after applying call to check on your application it'll help you stand out amongst the crowd of other applicants. #1 #interview #jobsearch #wordsofadvice #advice #application

To anyone pursuing a job online. Scamming is now the #1 crime in America. Before providing any financial information such as a bank account and routing number, be 100% sure that the online job opportunity is legitimate. I was pursuing a job with Stihl but since everything was done online, I went on Google and found a phone number for Stihl. They informed me that Stihl was not hiring and that the person I was dealing with was a scammer. Fortunately, I didn't get scammed. Some applications require a bank account and routing number for direct deposit. There's no good reason to have to provide financial information on an online job application. If you are convinced that the job is legitimate but want to be safe, open a 2nd checking account with your bank with the minimum balance. Mine is $15. This way, the most that I could get scammed for is $15. Also, never accept a job that sends you checks and requests that you deposit the checks into your bank account. This is another method online scammers use as they will then request that you withdraw the money and do something unusual like purchasing bitcoin or crypto currency, putting the money in cashapp or something similar. The safest way to make sure that you're not being scammed is to require that the "employer" pay you your first paycheck via a standard check. It's also important that you actually start working at the company. This can be difficult if it's supposedly a work at home job and you only have had contact with the "employer" online. Just be careful and if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. The online recruiters don't check the companies that are hiring to verify that they're legitimate. No online "job" is worth risking being scammed. I was a victim of an online scam before I wised up and made sure that it never happened again. I'm certain that certain online "job" opportunities were scammers after I was a victim and started to research the company on Google, making phone calls that usually can quickly be found on Google, and never providing any of my financial information. Once you begin working and receive a regular paycheck, deposit it into your "safe" account until you're 100% sure that the company and the job are legitimate. It seems like nowadays that the scammers are aware that job seekers are doing their own research and taking no chances. After I was scammed, it became easier and easier to spot online "employers" who were really scammers. I'm glad that I can say that I was never scammed again despite some obvious attempts to scam me again. I also never answer my phone unless I recognize the phone number. If they really want to reach you, they can leave a message but until you meet the employer, even a voice mail or text message can be from a scammer. It's a shame that I had to learn the hard way. I've been searching for a part-time job online for a couple of months and I'm reasonably confident that none of the job opportunities were scammers. Nevertheless, I still don't provide personal financial information such as banks and credit card information. Most online job opportunities nowadays appear to be legitimate but I still don't take any chances. After being scammed, I quickly learned how to spot a scammer relatively easily. Before the days of the internet, searching for a job was much safer because the job opportunities were typically listed in the Sunday newspaper, you had to submit a resume and go to the actual company to interview. Nowadays, since it's pretty necessary to have a smartphone or other electronic device to function and communicate. If I didn't feel like I needed to have a smartphone, I would take mine and throw it in the Delaware River. Please use common sense and use some of the methods I mentioned earlier so that you don't get victimized by what appears to be a legitimate job that you found online. One last comment is that I was naive when I got scammed and the "employer" said that some of the things that they required me to do were to test my abilities and honesty, etc. What a load of BS. I don't even pursue work from home jobs anymore. It also helps if you know someone working for the company that you're interested in but this is often rare. Good luck and be safe.

First, there is what is theory and practice in everything, for example, I have known lawyers who got the best grades to enter law school, they graduated with honors from law school, in theory, he is qualified to take a case What happens is that he prepares the case, but when he is going to argue in front of the judge, he gets nervous, his voice trembles, and he does not try to persuade the player, that is, his legal theory on paper is perfect, but he does not serve as a litigant. I know others whose qualifications are terrible, they entered the worst law school, they failed in multiple courses, and their average is fatal. In writing the theory of a case it is very, bad, but they come to court and have the virtue of the word, they have an enormous power of persuasion, and they put on a majestic show in front of a jury. In large law firms, one will be writing the legal theory and the other will be the litigated lawyer who attends the court. The reality is that in a small law firm, the two alone will have little success. You should analyze what aspects of your strengths can help marketing to sell your strengths, and you should try to get training that is reasonably useful in your weaknesses. Work with your, own list of Strengths and Weaknesses, and seek help to improve your weaknesses. #1 #2 #jobsearch #advice
