You have to look at professional life from the perspective of an accountant from the same perspective as your employer, that is, if you work full time it is 2,080 hours a year, this is what a year of your professional life is worth, you must understand, your employer rents you with your skills and knowledge for an amount of $000.00 an hour. First, you have to understand that your education had a cost that is $000,000.00, and you have to see your age for example 30 years and the time you plan to retire as for, example, 65 years which means that your useful life is 35 years this is multiplied X by 2,080 hours per year under this hypothetical example you have 72,800 hours of useful life this poses a huge problem for you your professional life is on a stopwatch and every hour you spend on a job will not be recovered as I can exemplify by means, of an analogy you would be similar to the depletion accounting used in natural resources, the forests that extract the wood or used by the mining companies you extract an hour of your professional life that you cannot recover again unless you are an immortal being, but you are a mortal, for this reason, will one day retire. You already understand how the human resources company extracts from your professional life a resource that will not return, it takes away your time, for this reason, it is a fallacy, a lie that you should not change jobs for better pay, take control of your professional life and offer your valuable time to the employer that offers you the best labor compensation. #jobsearch #wordsofadvice #inspiration #interview #1

I'm telling you the truth... (This will blow your mind).

Many people have 20/20 vision. However, they are still looking back at things they can't change.

Please, don't let this happen to you.

The principle below helped me to climb ladders for new heights in life.

"Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward, towards finding the answers." ~Denise Waitley

Listen, focus on the areas that are specific to your skills-set. (See illustration below.)

Then, everything else will fall-in-place for you.

I Believe You Can...!

You have to understand that everything is generational, the Baby boomers (1949-1968) wanted and yearned to have a yoke, a kind of boss, a master. Generation X (1969-1980) had learned behaviors about loyalty to bosses at work and the yoke of a boss. The millennial generation (1981-1993) was influenced by new technologies and has changed the way of seeing life, that is, life is more than a job, it is more than a yoke of perpetual labor slavery for 3 or 4 decades with the same employer. It is a generation that seeks balance. Human Resources departments and institutions must understand the generational change, the new generations of employees will not live to work, they will work to live, that is, if the mentality is not changed, generation Z and Alpha will come with even greater challenges. The reality is that people want a job that gives them a quality of life, not modern slavery, we have to rethink that the new generations do not see supervision or see their bosses as little gods, they see them as equals, and that's why the mentality they must be changed, or they will lose labor competitiveness. #motivation #1 #wordsofadvice #inspiration #jobsearch #advice

Communication skills is the #1 soft skill that should be on your resume, according to a recent analysis of open jobs. The importance of communication is a result of the new remote and hybrid work arrangements that rely heavily on tech. How you respond to someone digitally or on a Zoom call matters. Proper communication skills matter for any job, whether you're talking with customers or your coworkers.

First of all, what is a soft skill? It's a personal attribute that supports situational awareness and enhances an individual's ability to get a job done. Soft skills can be seen as people skills or aspects of emotional intelligence.

Other top soft skills employers are looking for include:

  • Customer service
  • Scheduling
  • Time management
  • Project management
  • Analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility

Did you know you can easily create a resume by filling out your Jobcase profile? Once your profile is complete, click the "Resume" tab and download your resume!

I'm an administrative professional with over 40 yrs. experience - having worked in a variety of fields and genres. I've noticed during my job search that in addition to requiring the standard Admin. Asst. computer experience (MS Suite & Quick Books) a great deal of employers are now requiring experience for specific software - some of which I've never even heard of and I'm pretty computer software savvy and I stay abreast of new developments and changes. If a candidate has experience, is intelligent & a quick learner they can easily learn any new software during their probation period - which almost always involves some amount of training for the new job. But unfortunately, many employers don't consider this. Consequently, this has a double negative effect: #1 - it eliminates good candidates for positions they'd otherwise be qualified for & #2 - it makes positions harder to fill for the employer.

Interview advice #1. Before any job interview, take some time to research the company. Hiring managers love to see you’ve done some homework.

WHAT IN THE HECK? STEP #1. Be Proactive. [IBYC]

I'm telling you the truth...(You should read this.}

Write down your short-term goals. Why is this extremely important?

It's been said that according to the Harvard MBA Business School, the apparent kicker is that the 3% of the class that had both written goals and a plan, were making ten times as much as the rest of the 97% of the class.

Be Proactive: Out of the 5 - Job Titles that you previously listed, select the top three that could make things flow in your life.

Your list should look something like this:

Hmm,

  1. Program Manager
  2. Project Manager
  3. Operations Manager. Okay, I believe I got it...! Then, post this sticky note on your refrigerator door as a daily reminder.

We'll continue this project next week so make sure you stayed posted with me for STEP #3.

I Believe You Can...!

To land a job at #Kelly Education for Hillsborough County Public Schools I would make sure to...

I had worked for both Kelly Services & Hillsorough County Public Schools as a Sb in the past. It as a much lengthier process than I anticipated but it’s great having an advocate sou there ever be issues. Once I completed all the requirements, I selected a few schools close to my home. I worked the first one, then another & they were night & day… from the students to the administration. School #1 gives you a key, a booklet they give you each time with the schedule (that includes your particular planning period & lunch) a map of the campus with your assigned room, school policies & any notes for specific students with “safety plans”. Every teacher or administrator I came in contact ith always offered to help me & let me know I was appreciated there. The students were respectful (well, as respectful as middle schoolers can be, lol), eager to engage & overall a pleasure. School #2 was quite different. Over half of he students did speak ANY English (& I don’t speak Spanish). Administration gave me a key to the room & pointed on a map where it was I was to go. Even though this job was posted a couple days before, there was no lesson plan. No one, students or teachers seemed happy to be there. So I immediately changed my school preferences to just the one (& still could have worked every day). In sum- working for Kelly is great!! Being a substitute is great! If you happen to have a bad experience, try another school, there are many great ones. I got very lucky that a great one is so close to my home as I do not have my own vehicle & Uber to/from. Good luck! Happy subbing 😊!

I'm telling you the truth...(Should I Read?)

REACTIVE: Many people fall-short because of a Lack of Commitment. This is a vibration that resides in the mindset.

DON'T let this happen to you.

PROACTIVE:

Step #1. Wake-up in the morning and write down 3 to 5 job titles that you can perform above the average level. For example:

  1. Project Manager
  2. General Manager
  3. Program Manager
  4. Operations Manager
  5. Configuration Manager

Then, consider following-me for the next block of instructions. Because they don't teach this in school.

Writing goals down seems to make them more real. Your brain has to think about them as you write and then read your message to yourself. This is weird but it sure does work.Ford
