I'm currently in school studying to be a medical office assistant. I'm going for a certification which I will get in about 8 or 9 months. Being an office assistant has been my dream job for many years. I love helping people. I worked as a daycare provider back in the early 90's as a summer job. Volunteered at a mental facility during my high school years. In 2012--2013 I cleaned houses temporarily and haven't worked in over 10 years. I am definitely looking for work until I can become certified as a medical office assistant, as I'm in a domestic abusive relationship situation and in the process of getting out of the situation. I need income for my children and myself. #advice #housing #motivation #education #backtoworkmoms #housekeeper #healthcare

#my résumé only tells you about the career I used to have. #advice I would love to be a greeter at a hair salon or something in that field or a manager etc. I cannot cut hair anymore due to my hands. What careers do you have out there that you do not need your hands? #general #noexperience other than cutting and coloring hair. I’ve worked n this field for over 35 years. #backtoworkmoms #motivation #networking #inspiration #courage #wordsofadvice #jobsearch

For the most part, I have been a house wife and mother of 4. I would like to offer my services such as organizing time, scheduling, housekeeping, self motivating skills in this community. My experience entails: cashiering, customer service, some computer skills as well as sales. I am loyal and reliable. I am observant and honest.

I'm 31 & since I was 19 have been a stay at home parent. I've had small part time cashier jobs, truck stop Dollar General... I've also had housekeeping jobs cleaning beach houses and residential homes. But things have changed & I find myself desperately searching for a job that is full time or at least pays enough to cover the few small bills I have. I've put over 50 applications in online because that's how most places want you to apply. I haven't tried applying out of my league, that's next however, but I haven't gotten but 2 calls for an interview! Both interviews seemed to be going well until I was asked about my job history. Needless to say I didn't get either job due to lack of experience. I'm a total people person & was loved by all my coworkers & customers at the few jobs I have had. My resume is short and not very appealing to the people in charge of hiring. If I were given the chance to apply in person and meet some of the managers I feel I'd stand slightly more of a chance than I have applying online. These online applications are sorted through by experience, skill & Lord knows what else but after 50 applications and 0 luck I'm beginning to wonder what I'm lacking.... Any tips on how a single mother with less than 2 years retail/sales experience is supposed to find a job & support her household???

I have a child not old enough to be home alone yet. My husband and I own a 12 acre farm and I need 500.00 a month to help out a bit.

Hello everyone! My name is Mari Elizabeth Walsh and I am frustrated. I am very willing to get to work. However, I live in a very rural area in Southeastern Arkansas and there is literally nothing around that would hire someone with my skills. I have five years of in the office experience with medical and psychiatric transcription. I design documents, spreadsheets, business cards, logos, etc. all using my circa 2006 laptop and Microsoft Office or Adobe. I am interested in virtual assisting, data entry, spreadsheet work, proofreading, actually anything at this moment. I am so frustrated and let down right now. I tried Freelancer and after all the effort I put into it, they wanted $5 per exam to help boost my chances of being hired. Any advice on what to do and where to look for work like I described? Thank you, in advance, for your time and help.
I think it is better to stay home. To protect family.
