Been there, done that. Tried to become a professional photographer. I was actually fortunate enough to be picked up as a stringer for a local metropolitan newspaper, and even wrote a few magazine articles and contributed all the photos. I proved I was capable doing the job, the problem is that the job did not pay well, and I was capable of doing other things that were far more profitable in the long run. Now photography is a hobby and engineering is my profession.

Choosing a career to work with animals can be highly rewarding, as you’re actively making a difference in the lives of animals. So what animal-related jobs could you do?

  • Veterinary assistant - A veterinary assistant works at a veterinary clinic alongside a veterinarian. They help the vet with routine animal care. There are no strict education requirements to become a veterinary assistant. Most have a high school diploma and receive on-the-job training.

  • Zookeeper - A zookeeper is responsible for attending to the animals in their care. This involves feeding and bathing animals, cleaning and maintaining their enclosures, and monitoring their health.

  • Animal trainer - Most individuals become dog trainers, providing obedience and behavioral training. Some trainers teach companion animals to guide people with disabilities, while others train large animals like horses.

Find all 9 jobs that are one with the animals here (along with typical pay), and reply below:
