A few months back, #HomeDepot pledged to spend $1.7 billion in temporary pay and benefits for staff working through the #Coronavirus crisis. They will be changing some of those benefits to permanent wage increases for frontline hourly workers.

Home Depot has announced the 239 part-time and full-time positions being offered at its distribution center in Upper Macungie Township, PA.
The warehouse helps homeowners and businesses receive such items as hot water heaters; refrigerators and freezers; cleaning supplies; electrical and plumbing repair equipment; and harsh-weather items as tarps, propane and batteries, read more.
Positions on the company’s website at the Upper Macungie location run the gamut from operations managers to supervisors to warehouse associates. Warehouse associate jobs are being listed at $19 an hour to start and include such tasks as loading and unloading trucks, operating heavy machinery and working as a team to get products out to stores and customers quickly.

We got notice that as of today, March 17, all stores will adjust their hours from 6AM -6PM and schedules will remain as is. After the store closes, workers scheduled for closing shifts will be responsible for pack down, freight orders and intense deep cleaning.
All part time workers will be given 40 hours sick time and FT will be issued 80 hours of sick time to be used as needed till the end of November 2020. Hours not used will be paid out.
This is really great for employees. We also have a lot of measures in place for handwashing, cleaning and sanitizing!!
