Has anyone had to second guess if they should wear braids , locs or any other protective hairstyles in the work place ? I recently got box braids and I wrestled with if I should get them or not for WEEKS before I got them . I pondered over the dress code for hair day in and day out. Dress code is hair must be neat , well groomed , clean and professional. My braids are all of the above but I still debated and debated before I said ok I’m going to do this .. has anyone else had this experience?

Everyone has a story. I'm student of Master in architecture and live Istanbul turkey but I'm belong from Pakistan and did my graduation in GIS/Rs (Geo Information System/ Remote Sensing) Apart from my education I'm professionally work as a graphic designer and able to executive more then 3 software likh Photoshop illustrator and UX. When I was living in Pakistan I did A Lot of job as a graphic designer and earned so much that was reason I decided to do master in abroad because I thought I'm able to afford my expensives.i just convinced my family some my of family members are against for it but my mother support me for this because I assured her I will afford my expensive and I won't bother you for my expensive. Before came turkey I have two remotely job of graphic designer that was the big project I'm was working on it. But somehow I couldn't continue with them but I'm job less and I want job to fulfill my expensive. If you guys have this please recommend my self I will really appreciate you for the help #jobseeker I'm girl it's very difficult for to find the job for my self even though I'm not able to speak the Turkish language they are not understand the English and must prefer the Turkish language and I'm trying to learn Turkish but till then I need a job for my expensive I'm really good in graphics if any body see my design I'll show

Let me please start off by saying that all my felonies are non violent and are drug related..... I was just a user and every time I got caught up it was for possession. Addiction is sometimes hard to get away from. Most people won't get away from it without help. It took me my last felony I caught to realized that I might have a problem and I started seeking help. I found help at Mission Teens a faith base program and they had one in Brazil Indiana called the House of Hope. I completed the 8 month program 3½ years ago and have had my sobriety every since.
Now seeking employment it has never been so hard untell now. All I want to do is provide and every where I go I'm turned down and these background companies that run the checks are fast to report the bad in your life but never report the good that you may have done and employers never ask. Not saying my good out weight the bad just saying they should report both sides for the employer to see. I feel that if employer's start asking questions about a person felony they would find that not all felons are bad people. There are some good people who are felons who just made some mistakes in their life and corrected themselves to do better.
It seems I have exhausted all my options to find employment. Like I'm forced down a path in the road that I don't want to take. Soon I won't be able to pay rent soon I will be forced out in the streets soon I will become homeless. 😩
So job seekers KEEP YOUR RECORD CLEAN the best advice that I could give and this from experience.
Open to any advice. Looked into expungement just don't have the cash. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

A form rejection email is often not an accurate depiction of why you were not offered the job. Here are some other (very valid) reasons why you may not have received an offer, despite what you were told.
- Hiring Freeze
- Always Meant for an Internal Employee
- Company is Afraid to Pull the Trigger
- Found Someone Cheaper
- Company Decided to Delay the Hire
- Job Went to the Boss’s Niece
- Company is Restructuring
Keep this in mind the next time you’re told “you weren’t a fit for our needs” or “we decided on a candidate with more experience” or not told a thing.
The ACTUAL reason could have absolutely nothing to do with you.
Of course, if this becomes a pattern, it’s possible your interviewing skills simply need some polishing. That’s easy enough to correct. I work with job seekers all the time in this area.
Bottom line: If a company decides not to move on with you (or never gives you any type of response), realize it’s their loss and continue to progress forward with your job search.
