I’m sorry they lost their jobs. I was hired at age 67, was let go because of the covid at 69. Was hired in a new job in August 2 months after I went on unemployment. Was it really your age? #laidoff

I got laid off in April & received unemployment for 2 months. I was working 2 jobs. (1 job was a janitorial with my husband) he became unable to work because of back issues) so we had to quit that job, I could not do it by myself. They denied my claims after we had to quit that job. I feel as if I should have received unemployment for my secretarial job #laidoff #coronavirus

I was laid off in June as a MHSB QMHP-A...I've been in social work and the mental health field for 20 years. I am worried to go back to work because I am immune compromised. If I get covid, I'm a goner. Is anyone else facing this dilemma? Should I just wait it out until I can get the vaccine? #laidoff #covid #immune compromised

Excellent Question @Susan Culley ! I can see how you would be additionally hesitant to go back into a health services work environment with your particular health concern. I don't work in the healthcare industry but I find the news I've been following so somewhat confusing. Sufficient PPE continues to be an ongoing issue, particularly within the most affected states, (California, Texas and Florida) according to national news. @Michael Carvalho wrote about this recently and shared optimistic improvements in much needed PPE supplies within Greater Boston healthcare organizations.

How are you feeling about the new vaccine? Are you feeling more optimistic? Curious to hear your thoughts around this news and how you think these vaccinations will impact the recent uptick in covid-19 cases.

Hope all is well @Susan Culley . Please continue to Stay Safe & Happy Holidays!

If you’re in the medical field, you qualify to get your first vaccine now.

I have not been able to get my back date pay. I have contacted my Congress representative, plus sent emails with no response. It's very frustrating in light of not being able to go back to work due to my company had to shut down. #laidoff #advice

The biggest issue I have had this year is scam job positions. I can not believe how many I have ran into that have been so real and end up feeling even worse after figuring out that it is a scam. #laidoff
