What I learned from Adapt Programs is Time Management. Being a Counselor our Individual Counseling was 15 minutes instead of what i was trained. Every company is different. #education #motivation #career #inspiration #laidoff #remoteworker #healthcare #coworkers

Local Florida State Unemployment??? Am I entitled to More? My Original unemployment that I filed back in June 2020, said my Maximum was $3300.00. I am receiving $275.00 per week, but the $3300.00 is running out. I have been working for over 20 years making $100K plus. How do I get more standard Florida Unemployment? Do I need to submit again? I am confused, as I have not been unemployed over 35 years. Any advice will be appreciated. #benefits #laidoff #florida #advice #healthcare #accounting

Downgrade live to what your means or worth. If you can't afford to eat steak then get steak-ems. If you can't afford to live in a $100,000 house then move to one you can afford. Your welcome for the advice Adam

I have recently been laid off from my position as a Sales and Service advisor for a non-profit educational travel company. I am looking for a position as an advisor, team lead, or supervisor. Are there any suggestions that can be made to assist in my search? #laidoff #advice

Around the world, governments are beginning to explore ways to safely re-open the economy. As a result, people are preparing to head back to work.

As we start to take steps towards bringing normalcy back to our lives post-Coronavirus, what is concerning YOU as you either A) enter back into the workforce or B) resume your job search?

I think back at age 22 when I enlisted into the Air Force. I was told to only bring what I was wearing - bare minimum. Throughout the weeks ahead I was built up mentally, physically, and emotionally. The Problem I showed up on scene amongst a majority of guys fresh out of high school. Having 3-4 years experience on them also created more previous experiences = baggage I brought to bootcamp that I did not leave at home, and much that I accrued throughout my failing times at college. Instead, I allowed the new me to be created on this shaky foundation that replicates my identity - underneath the toughness they can build in a soldier.

Now is the time to go back a time or two each day - to do some self reflection - and say okay, this is the ideal point in my life to regain balance. To pull back on my spending habits and better manage my money. To enjoy what I do have so when I get back what I don't have I stay in tune with all I currently have. To maybe learn what finding stillness means to close my eyes and focus on my breath for a minute and to just be. To find experiences of letting go of judging everything as it comes to mind and begin to feel what taking control is as I gently guide myself to focusing on my breath - in and out.

If I shift one degree to the left or to the right - I will end up at a new destination. Like cybernetics on an aircraft that continually reorients on its azimuth - so can we.

Let's dig down and lean in and turn some of these ongoing wishes and wants into new habits. We can go through it or we can grow through it.

And most of all - May we all realize in trying times that relying on God as all we have - we come into realization God is all we need!

When you want to QUIT!!! HALT Hungry - Am I hungry, then get something to eat and make this decision in another moment that presents itself a little later. Angry - find your way of venting and releasing any built up energy and animosity/resentment Lonely - Get on a device and connect with someone - or invite a neighbor for coffee/tea. Tired - Honor your current limitation and get some needed rest.

Send PRAYER requests to: nickalwan@outlook.com

Sincerely, Nick #jobsearch #laidoff

I have been an LPN for almost 35 years. I feel blessed with a wide variety of experiences this career has offered me. From hands on/direct patient care to patient and staff education and support to medical records investigations for quality improvement and education. I feel that all of these experiences combined have prepared me for more opportunities to advance my career.

Many of you have heard about the Celadon Bankruptcy situation that has affected over 3,000 drivers across the country. The Indianapolis-based company has left thousands of employees jobless right before the holidays, leaving many drivers stranded mid-route.

As more of this scheme gets unraveled, it becomes more obvious that the situation is more convoluted than it once seemed.

Curious to hear your thoughts about this...
