Do you reflect on the sacrifice others have made for our country? Do you visit a memorial? Spend time with family and friends?

@Bill Branstetter I deliver fuel now, so I had to work. I actually have to work all holidays if my days off don’t fall on a holiday. I don’t mind since they pay us double. HMD to you.

This upcoming Monday is Memorial Day, and we want to wish everyone a happy and meaningful holiday. We honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Let's take a moment to reflect on their courage and dedication.

Let us also express our gratitude to the veterans and active service members who continue to protect our nation. In honor of our veterans, many companies and organizations host hiring events throughout the year specifically for them. If you are a veteran, then participating in these hiring events can be a great way to explore job opportunities, network with employers, and potentially secure employment.

Hiring Events/Programs for Veterans:

Remember, these hiring events are designed to support veterans, so take full advantage of the resources available. Good luck with your job search, and thank you for your service!

Feel free to share this information with fellow veterans and help spread the word about these valuable opportunities.

Important Disclaimer: This job lead is NOT a Jobcase sponsored job alert. Interested applicants are encouraged to practice due diligence during the application process. To see more hiring events, you can follow our #hiringevents!

Sometimes it's easy to forget that Memorial Day weekend isn't just about picnics and the unofficial start to summer. It's about loss and honoring those losses.

My heart goes out this coming long weekend (and always) to families and friends who have lost loved ones while they served. I am thinking of you while also remembering my Uncle who I lost several years ago.

...and to all those who serve, thank you.

Who will YOU remember this Memorial Day?

My children have never once doubted that they would be free to choose the life they wish to lead. To speak their minds. To pursue life, liberty, and happiness. This freedom was hard-fought and extracted a high price.
I am in awe of those who volunteered to answer the call to arms. I am appreciative of all who fought and humbled by those that made the ultimate sacrifice. I am profoundly saddened that the loss and sacrifice continue to be carried every day by their loved ones.
Thank you seems so insufficient, and yet those are the words that rise up. Thank you. Thank you for my freedom and my children's carefree expectation that this has always been so and will always be. And lets all of us strive to do what we can to support their families in every way we can. Our veterans and their families don't just deserve this, they have earned it. And no-one more so than the loved ones who mourn the sacrifices of our fallen heroes every day. Lets not just commit to memorial day, but memorial year.
God bless you all. God bless America. and thank you. #veterans, #memorialDay #gratitude #humility

My family will be having a cookout for all military personnel, retires, vetrans and fallen soldiers and government employees and and spouses and children. Which basically includes most of my family. "My father and step father are both retirees and I have seen the lived the backside of the life". Being a military brat was not is not what people assume. "I applaud my 22 year old daughter for taking on this life as a spouse". I see her the nervousness in my princess voice Everytime they awaits her husband's orders. Also quite a few ROTC high school graduates enlisting. However, it is out of town so my mother, daughter and I will be giving out plates to the homeless today. "Many prayers will be prayed and tears cried as we celebrate this day with joy, unforgotten memories and new uncertainties but at the end of the day we know for sure; God is still in charge.

‪Humbled. Appreciative. Proud. ‬ ‪And remembering their families and loved ones too. The sacrifices extend so far beyond those fallen hero’s themselves. Thank you never seems enough, but it’s a start. Thank you! ‬ #memorialday #grateful #veterans #humble

HI community, Memorial Day, a day to remember our troops, who served to protect our country and preserve our rights as American Citizens. Originally called Decoration Day.

https://www.history.com/topics/holidays/memorial-day-history

Personally, I thank God each and everyday that I live in America and I am American, there is no greater country to live in. Memorial day has been historically, citizens visiting cemeteries to honor veterans who have given their lives to protect our freedoms. I will not be adhering to tradition however. I plan on spending a quiet day at home, doing some odd jobs around the house and reflecting, not just on this country and it's hero's but on life overall. We will have a small cookout, weather permitting to welcome in the first day of summer. At this point, in Springfield, MA, doesn't look promising! I will also use this day as a personal day to look at some of the mistakes in my life that I have made and strive for self improvement, something that all of us could use on a continuous basis. Reminders of some of our faults and being honest about them along with working to change. Even if it does rain, it is going to be a great day. I sincerely hope the entire Jobcase community has a great day as well. Happy Memorial Day.
