Iβd like to know what others think about this situation. I got a job with a family-owned business in my chosen career field after a long involuntary hiatus. Much of the job is similar to what I remember, with the addition of new technology that I am working hard to learn. After I worked there for a little over a month, my boss and her family, essentially the entire staff besides me, left for a week-and-a-half vacation. I am running the business by myself, and doing work that is physically beyond my ability, after extremely minimal training. And Iβm getting paid half of industry standard for my field. Iβm 2 1/2 years from retirement. My daughter says I should ask for more money, and quit if I donβt get it. My husband said nothing, but I know he absolutely will not tolerate me not having a regular income. (I also freelance, but itβs sporadic). I love the work for which I was hired, but this job is way more (and less) than I bargained for. Thoughts? #underpaid #overworked #undertrained #advice

Since relocating to NC in 2019, I have worked on 5 different good paying Jobs and about 25 interviews. What happened to keeping hard working employees? I went to wok everyday and covered for those who didnβt come to work. Yes! I think itβs my age. I am retired social worker, but not old enough for social security. I guess I should have stayed on my job, until social security age. But who knew this was going to happened. #termination #ageism #overworked

I worked there for few exhausting months because it was not just one job to do, it was housekeeping, management, security, maintenance it was 16 hours of work none stop and no days off so..........#motels #jobs #overworked #advice

We've all been there - overworked and OVER IT.
How did you handle it? Did you change up tasks? Look for a new role? Talk to your manager?

I work at the VA in Boston as a housekeeper, I'm 21 and I find myself working up to 120 hours each pay period over the last two months. I'm finding myself slowly getting burnt out from working too many hours, don't get me wrong I'm grateful for a full time job with amazing benefits and great pay but I need a break. I guess I can say this is a rant more than anything else.

I want to sleep. I have a lot of stress and I can not sleep of the stress but I am tired :(

If Iβm really in need of some cash & am trying to get multiple jobs, how many is too many? I know I need more than 1 but I also donβt want to be super overwhelmed. Recommendations?
