I received an email yesterday saying I had 2 more weeks left of PUA then my benefits would be exhausted so I'm not sure if I will get an extension even if the new bill passes extensions for unemployment I sure hope so.

You know what they told me today? She said, It hasn't been updated by them, because they haven't received funding for Pandemic unemployment or PUA yet! Who else feels that is a B.S?

This happened to w me 6 months ago, no one would give me answers I sent my ID, social security card 5 times and still nothing! I finally emailed the Governor's office, who then forwarded it to the ombudsman's office and a week later I had access again. And I was 100% verified. It's too bad we have to go to such extreme measures to get people to do their jobs. The agents who answer the phones say that they can't tell us anything so not sure why they are even there? They do have deadlines to respond so make your ombudsman or Governor aware and they'll get it taken care of.

I live in az i applied for pua was never given any retro pay but did receive weekly benefits for about 2 and a half months now since Nov 1 all my pay ments say in progress and when I call them it's basically just hurry up and wait. I'm wondering if any one has received payments after they put your acct on hold because everyone I talk to is still waiting #unemployment # #stressful #pua #arizona

So I've been waiting for PUA since August after waiting to be denied from unemployment for 3to5months. Is there anyway to get them to approve or get a word soon because I've been struggling to get a job for a while. #pua #advice

Hi @Jennifer Curry , it looks like the PUA in Ohio was available from March 27 through December 26, 2020 according to the information on the website although the department of job and families just added an update, see https://jfs.ohio.gov

Did you try to switch it over from checks to the card?

Go into your e-services account, on the right side of the screen there should be options such as update address, manage my claim etc, one of those options should said “update my payment method”. Click that & from there select direct deposit, it will ask if you want the funds deposited into your bank account or if you would like a prepaid debit card mailed to you.

Worked two jobs for the past five years my second job was self employed and paid cash and it stopped in March due to COVID I work as after school tutor freelance (school closed). my first job I was able to keep working up until I was forced to quit in august because my close relative was diagnose with COVID and I had to primarily be her caretaker. I applied for unemployment was denied I applied for PUA and was denied their reason was I didn’t lose my job do to the pandemic but I did. I appealed this decision I still haven’t been back to work since august how long does it take and will the judge approve it in my favor? I’ve been having it very hard on the verge of being evicted because I am months behind I am the primary caretaker in my family I’m having another baby in February please I hope and pray I will be approved I can’t afford basic need so please any advice #pua #benefits #appeals #illinoisunemployment #unemployment #selfemployed

Hi @Destiney Wingard - my advice would be to continue following up about a decision about your appeal. Other than that, are you ready to return to work? I know that you are expecting very soon, but would you feel comfortable finding a remote job perhaps?
