I've been a contract Project Manager for several years, having successfully managed large-scale, big-ticket technology projects for several Fortune 100 companies. Recently my contract with a multinational bank ended and I began searching for a new contract. With more than 20 years of solid experience and multiple globally-recognized certifications under my belt I've never had a problem securing my next contract, at least not until now, at 76 years old. I've interviewed at a couple of dozen companies - a few of them multiple times - I've been refused employment for no apparent reason beyond my age. Ageism (aka age discrimination) is alive and very well in hiring organizations today. #ageism #discrimination #seniors #hiring #interviewing #general

Hi @jamya goff ! According to Publix's career site, here are 9 reasons why you should work there! I think this will give you some insight into what their company culture is like. When you're ready to apply, search for openings near you.

It honestly depends on what location you work at and who the managers are. I’ve had a great experience with Publix until one of my associates drugged me and sexually assaulted me and the store manager defended him, saying I was asking for it, and then spread rumors about me around the store making me quit. Then two months later the same guy sexually harassed a new associate and when she went to the same manager, she also said she was asking for it, defended the guy, and quit as well. Publix in general is a great company to work for, however they do have their favorites and no matter what they do to you apparently there still going to be prioritized. I was forced to work with him everyday after that until I quit while being bullied. So just try to feel out the management and environment before you apply. Because Publix is the only company where I have had this issue.

I've been in the collection industry for the last 41 years. I was laid off in October of 2019. I do business development. Currently I'm doing a temporary assignment as a contact tracer. If anyone knows people in the collection industry please don't hesitate to share my resume. I have it posted at https://sbtresume.weebly.com. I'm very good at generating new business. I've also got a lot of transferrable skills. Thank you in advance. #resume #nationwideusa #ageism #seniors #sales #hiring
