I am getting so tired of filling out applications taking between 35 to 45 minutes and then after that they want you to do an assessment test which also takes another 30 minutes. It gets really frustrating to have to wait a week or so to hear anything back, even after following up in a couple of days to be told that the job has been filled or no longer taking applications. I have been on this process for the last three months and still haven't landed anything, and l am really getting tired if taking out this time to go through this and hear nothing or nothing solid happens. #tired #isitawasteoftime #help #advice

So I got laid off it will be a year as of the 25. I have to say I am utterly drained in every sense! Iam mentally emotionally and spiritually drained!! I just don’t know what do I actually dread this life of nothing!!!! It’s so hard to stay positive especially when ur going insane from billls and daily struggle! I think it’s ridiculous what these companies expect from us (qualification wise). Why do I need a bachelor degree to sell a mattress I’m from nyc hustle and common sense is in the blood we have to be fast learners we are so diverse and fast paced seriously tho a 4 year college degree to sell a mattress!!!!! ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!! Especially when you go to the store and the employees are a bunch of idiots who don’t want to help and have child like attitudes!!! My area is economically a low man on the totem pole. Meaning we have about 10 to 15 percent unemployment most of the time. Regardless if the economy is doing well or not. What that means for me is I can't get a decent job that would allow me to save up to move to a better work area. Where there are jobs. What jobs there are here where I live are mostly low wage retail work. So that leaves me trapped in a area I loath to death and have no way out. People in my area say I should like the low wage job I have. Basically discouraging the idea of better work, or I should like a job I am bored out of my mind with.
