Benefits Waiting Period🗓
What’s the longest you’ve had to wait for you to have access to benefits at your job? I worked for a company where I was required to wait a period of 6 months😯, which in my eyes 👀 was a long time! Benefits are very important, we all know that things could go south at any moment, so it’s important to stay up on yearly checkups 👩⚕️and cleaning🪥! Below are type of benefits offered by employers:
⭐️ PTO ⭐️ Health Insurance ⭐️ Life Insurance ⭐️ Dental Insurance ⭐️ Retirement Benefits ⭐️ Healthcare Spending Account ⭐️ Long-Term Disability Insurance ⭐️ Tuition Reimbursement ⭐️ Childcare Benefits ⭐️ Wellness Program #Benefits #Enrichment #Wellness

Tuesday tip of the week: Whenever I feel anxious, I qualify my feeling with a for now statement. “I feel overwhelmed by (fill in the blank) for now”. It’s a tooI learned early in therapy to help me find quick relief.

I love the creativity needed to meet the needs of my clients and making their life more manageable.

I know the trauma of unemployment. And the risk of depression around it. It's gravitational pull is strong. Now, put into that cocktail the current situation in this country on opioid addiction- raise the scale to 30million plus, have people social distance - and we run a serious risk of heartbreaking loss like what happened with Melissa Ethridge's son this week.
Her note about her son is below.
I feel so sad for his loss and pain of those who loved him. But I feel fear for how many stories of addiction in the face of current circumstances will emerge and the scars they will create.
So - if this is you - reach out for help. If not to friends, try this resource: https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/national-helpline . Their number is :1-800-662-HELP (4357) I suggest that one as it is gov sponsored and legit (a lot of what you will find searching on google are scams meant to fleece Obamacare health $ - not actually help).
If this concern makes you think of someone you love - you can also get help and guidance at this number -but I encourage you to also reach out directly. Let people know you love them, stay in touch, have thick skin. Remember addiction is a powerful chemical issue and not just behavior - i.e. be patient. But STAY connected! There are many risks to this criss we all are in. And the tragedy of Melissa Ethridge's is a reminder of this very real risk. Lets look out for one another - and on this issue in particular. #StrongerTogether #Addiction #Wellness #Resource #coronavirus #unemployment
