I had my coat stolen at work. It was taken from the break room - so I know it didn't wander off with customers. This was a while back and it was at a big store where I wasn't close with any of my #coworkers. I reported it to my manager, but the coat was never returned - so I don't think it was a mistake. Do you think it's normal to have your stuff taken when you work at a big place and your coworkers are strangers?
I to had this happen except it isn't a big place, we all work closely together unless your on opposite shift (morning vs. Evening) I left my very expensive raincoat and it was stolen from break room. I told the manager but cameras didn't catch the thief so we know it was an employee because they knew how to dodge cameras. The manager did nothing about it! I'm still angry! That coat cost close to $200! I still don't know what to do about it!

Honesty. I was told they were a "Christian" store. I was told that we would all be rotated for working on Sundays. Oh, I got a Sunday off, on Easter when the store was closed. I didn't "feel" like I was used, I "know" that I was taken advantage of. I've been gone for 6 weeks. Now when I see people in their Sunday best, it's not my customers I see, it's my fellow church-goers. If you love your job it will be easier to be a dependable employee. But if what's important to you is the amount you make at least like the people you work with because if you dont like your job or the people you work with the chances of you staying employed there for any amount of time is not very high.
