When you're actively looking for a new job, you may send in dozens of applications. In an Excel sheet, write down which jobs you applied to and when. This way, you won't accidentally apply to a job twice and you can remember when to follow up with an employer. #Tip #Advice #Jobhunting #Organization

So Basically in a nut shell, I've been out of the job situation with the actual public since 1999. I quit school, got a full time job and got married, had 5 kids, became disabled due to back problems and chronic migraine. The SS office said because I didn't work an entire 5 years before that I don't qualify for anything so because I'm now remarried I'm my new husband's problem and they looked right at me and said I would get fired due to my headaches but sorry your screwed. Nothing in this world I dislike more than people saying I can't do something. I decided to freelance because I want to do something. I'm having a bad go so I decided to get my GED while I do all this. I can do remote work but although I've got skills it's still hard to find anything. Is there anywhere that will hire a Newbie at entry level for a remote job? I'd like something until someone is willing to want a service I provide. #Jobhunting #Remote # Part-time #fulltime #weekends #jobskills #online # project # phone jobs

I have been looking for a job for nearly 5 months now and the way things are right now have not made it any easier. I have been lucky enough to get by during unemployment so that I can take my time and be picky with my next job. I got into the last for the money and it took a huge toll on me. Knowing I cant stay unemployed forever I do search job boards all week. It sucks because the shit the I am qualified for and have experience in I do not really want to do again and the jobs I do want I do not have experience in and would have to start entry level which would not support my current lifestyle. I didnt finish college and knowing that it would be this long unemployed I would have started classes 5 months ago. Ultimately I am a people person. I work well in a team environment and love helping people with their problems. Customer service rolls dont pay well enough and you get walked on in that position. Sales rolls feel fabricated and gross. Atleast in my experiences. I would be open to working sales for a company I liked and selling a product I am interested in. So basically im stuck right now and feel like I havent made any progress in my hunt. I do have a lot more interview experience and I dropped like 20 pounds since I have had more time to go to the gym so thats cool. Not to mention my relationships are better than ever and love spending the amount of time with my family that I am right now. So it hasnt been all bad. Overall its been great but I am ready to find work right now. I feel healed, or replenished from the mental state my last job put me in. I need a guru. Or a rich uncle that wants me to work for them. Or even just an honest person, running an honest company, that pays well to make their clients happy. #unemployment #jobhunting
