Interviews shouldn't be a one-way dialogue. They're an opportunity to learn more about the specific role and company to see if it will be a good fit for you. Asking questions invites a comfortable conversation and shows you have enthusiasm for the job to which you are applying.
Here are some great questions to ask during your next #interview!
What are the day-to-day responsibilities of this role?
Are there opportunities for career development? If so, what does that look like?
What are some of the biggest challenges for someone in this job?
What do you like best about working for this company?
How would you describe the company culture?
What is your "go-to" question during an interview?? Comment below!
If you are interested in learning more tips to nailing your next interview, take a look at these commonly asked interview questions.

I agree with Elyssa. When I worked at Consumers Energy, my interview process was easy for the department I was applying to. When I worked there, I had other interviews within the company for other jobs. I have to say it was tough and hard to do since I was not familiar with what that department entailed. Not only know the company itself but also the department and role you are applying to. Be professionally dressed and be ready for tough questions. Heads up the process is usually three interviews depending on the department and the role. Good luck to ya!!!

Do you like structure? Do you LIKE going to the grocery store? Does food make you happy?!
You might want to check out working for Instcart.
You can set your own hours too!
I found these really awesome tips from a few Instcart shoppers and wanted to share with you all.
Let's go through them shall we?
TIP 1 Make sure your phone is charged
This seems like a no-brainer, but the app uses a lot of power — more than you’d expect, really. Having a portable phone charger helped keep my mobile juiced. Knowing I had plenty of reserve power made it easier to focus on the task at hand. (I also recommend a car charger!)
TIP 2 Turn on location services
Instacart uses location tracking within the Shopper app to help batch orders that are conveniently located for Shoppers and customers. Be sure to check your phone settings during your first time shopping to verify that this setting is turned on.
TIP 3 Quickly scan the entire order before finding items
It helps to review the items on the list before you start — this allows you to strategize where items are located and be more efficient while shopping. For example, getting all the fruits and veggies when you’re in the produce area means less doubling-back.
TIP 4 Be sure to mark each item as found
The app is designed to help you keep track of your progress through the order. Marking items as “found” also allows the customer to follow your progress. To enter an item as “found,” scan the barcode. The app will confirm if you found the exact item requested. The app will also let you know if you scanned an incorrect item. It’s a great safety net to help you and the customer!
TIP 5 Communicate with the customer
You can communicate directly with your customer through the Shopper app. Some customers like text and others preferred to be called (or might prefer not to be contacted, which is perfectly fine). I found by introducing yourself at the beginning of the order, I created an immediate connection with my customer that they really appreciated. This will lead to greater tips!!
Would you consider being someone's personal grocery store shopper?
Yes let's get started shopping!

Hi @Jaimie Guthrie ! When preparing for an interview, here are some things that I find to be useful:
Do your research about the company. Head to Consumers Energy's website and poke around a little bit, specifically the "about us" page. It's important to find out as much as you can about the job and the company itself. It will help you prepare to answer interview questions about the company as well as help you craft questions to ask the interviewer.
Get a sense of how they compare to other organizations in the same industry. By doing this prep research, you'll be able to determine if the company and its culture are a good fit for you and it will help you feel more confident in your interview.
Practice interviewing. Ask a friend or family to conduct a mock interview with you! This will help you practice a confident speaking voice and approachable body language. While you may find this comes naturally to you, spend time performing them with friends, family, a pet, or in front of a mirror. This is a great time to review how to navigate tough interview questions.
Figure out what you're wearing. Don't wait until the last minute to pick out your outfit. Make sure your clothes are ready to go the night before and are stain-free and wrinkle-free. Check out these tips on what to wear to an interview!
You'll also want to know how and when to follow up after an interview.
On the day of the interview, arrive 10 minutes early with a smile to make a great first impression. When you're ready to apply, click here to find jobs near you! Good luck... let us know how else we can support you.
