My most recent role was as a Program Manager for an ed-tech startup, but I notice most jobs for Project Management are in the tech field. Any advice for someone transitioning from a career in education? #jobsearch #advice #careerchange

One significant effect of the Covid-19 pandemic was the drastic increase in remote working. The lockdowns, quarantines, and self-imposed isolation pushed companies to consider home working, accelerating a workplace experience that had struggled to gain popularity before the pandemic.
However, with the reopening of economies, the question remains: Is working from home a thing of the past? Read on and learn more about the future of remote work.

It sure does seem that way!

I graduated with my Master's Degree in Humam Development in 2010. I have been in my field for about 14 years. I have a lot of transferable skills and I am really ready to get out of it. If I don't get out of it, I feel as though I need to just get my MSW instead. I really want kind of a career advisor, has anyone used one before, any recommendations on where I can find one for a reasonable cost? #careerchange #education #recruiter #relocation

Need something different #jobsearch #careerchange

What on earth does a middle aged man do to change his career after he has 15 monetarily successful years, but 15 horribly burnt out years of 24 hour a day, on trauma call, weekends, holidays, no social events, etc., who had not time to form a life of his own because of intense long hours in the operating room that takes a ton of skill, but feels that theirs no transferable skills? What do hiring managers think when they look at a resume that says I’ve taught surgeons how to perform surgical procedures for most of his life, helping them learn how to do more procedures, giving them more confidence to take on different patients, but leaving me in the dust? #surgicasales #careerchange #jobsearch #advice

Sound like very rare and valuable skills to me. Could you repackage yourself as a consultant?

You have reached a milestone in your life !!! Such as I have !!! Burnt-out on helping the rich get richer !!! But in my conclusion on life it's time to help the poor and the needy !!! So my path forward is salvation army !!!

Right now, I'm in a "transition" job, wherein I'm there just to get by until I find something better. As I've had great difficulty finding a good-paying, career-worthy job at a time when I'm changing careers, I've had to settle for less, yet I'm still looking. This transition job underpays me as I hold a master's; they admitted this on day one, and I knew it too. I accepted that and plan to stay until I find better.
How soon after starting a new job is it ok to use it as a reference safely for another if I get hired elsewhere?
Also, what do I tell an interviewer or write in a cover letter for a better-paying, more rewarding career about my current job I haven't been at for long?
I'm the kind of person who sticks with a job for a very long time. My last long-term job was 18 years. I'm not used to leaving jobs after a matter of weeks or months.
How do I rationalize leaving a job after such a short period without seeming unreliable to a prospective employer I want to work for?
Thanks for any advice. #careerchange #jobsearch #advice #interview #application
I did run 2ccompanies and still but work from home
