I'm telling you the truth...(Must Read Before 11pm.)
It can take a person almost a life-time to recognize this principle of truth. Then, they try to turn back the hands of time.
Don't let this happen to you.
Today, we ask for many things from people and they simply say NO. So, after a series of failures, we likely give up. Right?
Let's make a long story short lived: Can you see the wind? Yet, you can feel its power. Can you seen the sound? Yet, you can hear it's power. Can you see the light? Yes, however, you can't see the source of its power. However, it definitely comes
Imagine, waking-up one morning and simply ask for what you want in life, can you imagine that it could come?
The moral of this story is, "ask for what you want in life," because you have no idea, if it will or will not come to fruition. Yet, the possibilities still exist.
I Believe You Can...!

Hi Theresa, In New York, you have to become a certified teacher through the State Education Department. You would have to reach out to see what each State requires.

I believe I have a great deal to offer any company or business as far as commitment to the position and also being reliable to get the job done. I would like the opportunity to set my own hours within the 24 hr day if possible. I have years of experience working for a police chief and a Judge as well as experience working in the legal field. #workfromhome #interview #jobsearch #education #advice

Thank you for your kind words. I hope I can find something.

Hi @kim munjas - I'd keep a close eye on job boards and craigslist - I see several job posts a week on CL looking for legal virtual assistants - typically smaller firms.
Good luck with your search.

What are the best skills one would suggest for Judicial Assistant interviews? Do my fellow "job casers" have any mock interview questions to suggest? Or other counties in California to apply to? # #jobsearch #education #interview #application #advice #lawschool

Yes some of us go to college, trade school or whatever. Then you take what you have learned and use it. You gather from experience, and professional development. As you move forward you either take classes in that field. A degree is on paper and so is my experience. Experience is just as important as a degree. I took a job with no degree, but I also took a workshop that was very beneficial. All jobs don't require a degree...they want experience. When they see all your experience you are told I can't pay you...but a degree yes.. that's discrimination to me. You are giving a degree a shot so why not me. We learn new things everyday from all areas and your team. I myself know what I'm capable of and do a dam good job...

So how do you about this to a employer when you don't have a degree but 40 years of experience. I have the expertise. At some point everyone has to be shown something different about a job. Put yourself in that person shoes. How would you feel when you know you can do the job. We learn as we go. That's LIFE. We all learn as we grow. We make mistakes. Instead of chopping my head off, give me another shot. It's bad to say but its true. A person rakes a life..instead they are out given another chance. I say you do it a 2nd time you gone. So if you give that person a second chance (probation) why not me...every case is different.

I was caught up in the system I am 53yrs old and I have spent 21 years of my life behind bars with my last stint being 13 years of a 15yr sentence . I was released on parole over 7 years ago. The parole board agreed to let me go to school out of state (I never been anywhere) to learn a trade in the automotive industry. certified in that automotive trade. Eventually I left the job(on good terms) that paid for my schooling and became a small business owner. #education

When I was able bodied I worked every day. Now that I'm physically disabled I still want to work, I'm going to school for my high school diploma. Then I want to go get my medical billing and coding certificate or diploma.. I'm able to do all of this from home on my laptop.. I'm very proud of the way I've done.. #workfromhome #education

A one-year program at The Marcy Lab School in Brooklyn is providing an alternative path for Black and Latino students to launch a career in the tech industry.
Support from foundations and corporate sponsors make the program free for students.
However, a four-year college degree is still a standard requirement for the majority of software engineering jobs, according to the Burning Glass Institute.
This is a great initiative and the beginning of what I can see as new alternatives to traditional four year degrees. How do you feel about this? 🤔
Most schools have a training seminar. I know for myself, Louisa County Public Schools holds one every few months.
