I cant tell you why but I understand I'm a recovering addict and have been in and out a rehab since I was 15, the best thing you can do is just be consistent and dont let getting turned down slow you down

I have a 25 year old conviction for bank robbery. I've been out of prison 2 years, driving with valid license and insurance. I've had no trouble and follow the letter of the law because my freedom is important to me. I have a reliable 2017 truck and a top of the line laptop computer. Since being released, after 23 years inside for a crime where no one was hurt, I'm still being refused employment based on the conviction, though I supposedly paid my debt to society and then some. Any suggestions for how I can not be discriminated against for a mistake I made when I was young?
